She teaches me
how to write and read
And makes me
do many noble deeds
She teaches me
what's good and bad
And shows me
how to count and add
She teaches me rhymes
and wonders of science
She tells me stories
of queens and kings
My teacher is
an angel minus wings
(My daughter's school announced a competition with regard to Teacher's Day celebration stating the selected poem will be published in The Hindu. My daughter's contribution was not selected for publication and hence I publish in my blog.)
